Shift Change: A Short Story -- Part X

[Tommyknocker]

"Yes, she's my wife. Do I strike you as a liar?" Cap said proudly.

"If it looks like a duck, and it walks like a duck..." Tommy laughed, pointing at Da Prez.

"You know for a janitor, you sure have a smart-ass tone about you."

"Thanks. I get it from dad's side of the family. So a woman actually married you, huh? The generousity of women never ceases to amaze me."

"I don't need this crap. If I want abuse, I'll just go hang out with Jimmalenko." He waved, and walked off.

"Well, we're both here for you, Man." Tommyknocker laughed and went back to mopping.

"So what are you two talking about?" Mr. Moody walked up.

"Just the latest gossip. You know, Shadowmistress and Cap actually being married and all."

"Yeah, she is sure one good-looking...."

"Shut up!"

"What's wrong?"

"That's somebody's wife!"

"So what are you, a knight or something?"

"Yep. Wanna see what I can do with my lance?" Tommy frowned, shaking his mop at him. "You say one more thing about her and I will."

"You freaking kidding, right? Okay fine, If I had just five minutes..."
It was all Tommyknocker could stand. He kicked his bucket full of dirty mop water and splashed into Mr. Moody's face and mouth, right in mid sentence. Moody gagged, then began coughing, doubling over and convulsing. Tommy waited until Mr. Moody had turned his back to him. He snatched the mop from the pail, held it level, took two steps toward Moody and shoved with all his might. The seat of his pants ripped and his body made a popping sound as the mophead disappeared up Moody's rear end.

"Tommy! What are you doing?" Screamed Baldrick, running up.

"Sorry, Boss, would you believe it was a freak accident?"

"No, I wouldn't."

"You little f*cker! I'll kill you!" Gagged Mr. Moody. He started to turn around, but Tommyknocker still had the mop handle, he pulled up on it, and Mr. Moody did a somersault instead. He rolled over, and was about to get up, but a red card came out of nowhere, went through his neck, severing both carotid arteries. Both Baldrick and Tommyknocker looked up, and saw Capmaster rising from his kill stance.

"I heard he was going to kill Tommy, so I had to act, Chief."

"You just happen to come by here?" Baldick asked.

"Well, I was coming by to ask Tommy what was he doing for lunch."

"Looks like I'll be looking for a job." Tommy said, looking down.

"No you won't. You're not fired, it was freak accident."

"Thanks, Boss. I'll clean this mess right up." He turned and ran to get his wheelbarrow.

Baldrick and Cap walked away. "You really think that was a freak accident, Boss?"

"Course not. To tell you the truth, if it was bad enough to piss off little Tommyknocker like that, I don't want to know what it was."

also over emphasizes his own role disproportionate to
the actual level of participation, namely zero.

Dear Offline:
This a short story. Short stories are always fiction. Yes, sometimes I make them funny, sometimes I make them violent, sometimes both, as whatever I feel in the mood for. The are no mop pails, mop, lunch, on this forum. I made them all up. Red cards do not kill people in real life, only in these stories. I did ask how Mr. Moody was banned, and was told because he was stalker, and to feel free to use any creativity describing his exit from this forum. I did, and it was meant to entertain, plain and simple. Everyone on this forum knows I am not the janitor here in real life, I made that up as well. Anything else I can clarify for you so you no longer feel these fictionalized accounts do anyone a disservice please let me know.
