  1. -I have several DivX movies (.avi)
-I have a Dazzle DVC II (doesn't output .avi, wish it did!)
-I want to convert the .avi DivX files to .mpg in order to output them to my vcr tape using the Dazzle.

I've tried several times converting the .avi's to mpeg1 using Tmpgenc, and the video looks super, but the audio is no where to be heard. I'm not sure why the audio doesn't work afterwards. The DivX movies where encoded at 23.87 fps. Anyway have any ideas or suggestions?

  2. Try separating the sound and the video of your Divx with either VirtualDUB or DVD2AVI and then encoding in TMPGenc (the video as the video input and the audio as the audio input) sometimes TMPGenc has sound issues when trying to encode video and audio from the same avi source.

  3. should I just try demultiplex the .avi using TempGenc? Then rebuilding it as an mpeg?

  4. I'm not sure if you can do it that way. I'd advise trying it with a small section...(i.e. Demultiplex since it doesn't take that long but only encode for a few minutes) and see if the sound is there. If it isn't try my way instead. Expose yourself to the wonders of DVD2AVI...it is a great proggie
