  1. Hi

Im having some codec issues with SOME(not all of them) of the MPG & AVI's I've been trying to play.

I looked in the FAQ and tried AVIcodec & Gspot but they can't recognise it.

Here are the Codecs I have got installed:
    KS Codec
    The official DIVX codec
    FDDSHOW
    DirectShow Ogg Vorbis

Could it be the way the codecs are configured or just a particular codec I need to install?

Can you try the new 2.52 beta GSpot, and post a couple of screen dumps up here ?
    If in doubt, Google it.

  4. I tried the 2.52 beta but since i'm running WinME it wont work on my system.

& BJ_M i said that both avicodec and gspot didn't recognise the files so it gives me no info.

Can anyone suggest some codecs to download?

Well, short of a crystal ball, it is really hard to tell you what codecs you need without using some sort of video codec identifier. There are more video codec identifiers listed here, maybe you could try some of those.

Or you could probably take your chances with some of the codecs listed here, but be warned, if you install a whole heap of different codecs and things become funky on your PC, don't blame us!
    If in doubt, Google it.
