  1. Over the weekend, I used the VCDEasy GUI to convert a single MPEG file into a VCD with entrypoints.

Everything seems to work as intended except for one thing -- if I hit "play" to start playback of track 1, then allow it to continue playing until it reaches the start of track 2 (or later), and then press "next", I get track 2.

Similarly, if I skip to some other track (say, 7) and let it play until it reaches the start of a later track (say, 10) and press "next", I get the track following the one that I last skipped to (in this example, 8).

Using "previous" gives similar results -- it skips back to the track preceding the one I most recently skipped to.

This problem is exacerbated by the fact that this VCD has 76 entrypoints. (It's a collection of very short clips.)

Is this due to something that I have done wrong in VCDEasy? Or is it a bug (and if so, is it a bug in the GUI which could be avoided if I use some other VCDImager GUI?)

    Hi there,

No it is not a bug, it is limitation of VCD. Look at this guide:

    http://www.geocities.com/medinotes/vcd/chapters.html

Also you can try VCDComplser. I like it better:

    Regards.

  3. Have you tried turning 'Use Playback Control' (PBC) on (under options) and/or 'Update scan data offsets' (Settings|(S)VCD Pla..)? I had a similiar problem and turning these on fixed it (not sure which one did it, I turned them both on and it worked so I'm leaving well enough alone).
