right here goes i use mainconcept to convert vcd/svcd to dvd then author them in tmpg dvd author. Thing is sometimes when i burn the resulting vts files i get out of sync problems, especialy if its a 3 disc film ive coverted then authored, especially with svcds. Is this a mainconcept problem or a dvd author prblem. Help im desperate.![]()

I would guess an authoring problem.
Mainconcept outputs a muxed mpeg. If it's in sync, then the demuxing during authoring, and remuxing to create the .vobs is where the problem lies.
If the muxed mpeg is out of sync, then the problem lies with the re-encoding, which changes the audio bitrate to dvd spec.
You can fix this by demuxing the vcd/svcd, correcting audio bitrate in Goldwave, Soundforge et al, then importing it separately into the authoring app.Cheers, Jim
