    hey folks , i have a small problem
    i tried to search but the results are so many topics it would be impossible for to read all of them....i was hope that some one would be able to help
    i bought a divx/mpeg4 player (philips dvp642 ) and most of the video files i try to play work okay but a few have small audio sync problems is there anyway to check a file for syce issues before i burn it and also is there a program that will fix these errors?? i have tried DivFix but i dont think it picks up sync error i have a video that when played in my divx player has a few sync errors but DivFix show the file has having 0 errors....

    can anyone help??

    im wondering if that player has an issue with vbr mp3 audio, like some mpeg encoders do. try opening the file in virtualdub and redo the compression. audio -> full processing. compression-> some other format like divx audio or mp3. save avi.
    p.s. this will only work if the files have vbr mp3 audio, virtualdub will tell u if it does when u load the file.
