  1. I have lots of video files on my hard drive, which I would like to make a list of (including things like what codec...mpeg1, mpeg2, avi, etc...resolution, ratio, audio codec, etc)...it would be handy if you could call this program for a group of files or a folder and have it output the results to a tab delimited text file.

    How difficult would something like that be to write? Don't need any of the fancy stuff (like the preview), but the other window (where the info is) looks like just the place to start.

    Does AVICodec already do this?
    SVCD2DVD v2.5, AVI/MPEG/HDTV/AviSynth/h264->DVD, PAL->NTSC conversion.

  3. YES! It does! I was not aware of this program. Had been using a prog called GSpot Codec Appliance, which only supports avi files (no jokes about the proggie name please).

    This program does everything I need and then some...only thing it doesn't do is handle/give info on LPCM audio streams (which a lot of dvds & dvdrips are encoded with).

    Thank you for pointing me at exactly the tool I needed!
