  1. My Computer Spes:

    XP 3200+ Barton
    512 PC3200 Daul Channel Mode
Sapphire Radeon 9600 Pro Altanis 256 MB Advantage Edition
    120 GB HD
    12X DVD Writer

I want to change the Ram to 1 GB Daul Mode and also maybe get a 9800 Pro Video card when I can afford it but not soon does this sound like a good Idea ?

What do you use your computer for?

If you use it to play solitare, then it is fine.

    Hello,

BIG gamer???? Then save for the video card (though it doesn't look like much of a jump to justify the cost....).

    RAM is always BENEFICIAL

You will notice a difference but probably not a big one. Since you say you are maily using your computer for playing games you might want to go ahead and get a better video card.

Let me ask you this. Is you current video card giving you problems when you play certain games?

If you're doing transcoding then a second hard drive would help. Reading and writing to the same hard drive while encoding isn't the greatest. Otherwise I'd get rid of the video card for an X600 or something fun.
