I extracted a soundtrack from a home video to .wav. I would like to blank (mask) part of the sound track before convert it to .ac3 and mux with video file (.mpv) to make a DVD. Anybody know how to do it? Can audacity do it? WIll that cause sync problem with the video file? Thanks!

you could use a program like N-track studio (not sure but i think you can get a free version), load your wav file into it and simply highlight the part of the wav file you dont want and cut it out. I used this program for cutting out the swearing on the vocals of some Emenem bootlegs i made that got played on radio 1 here in the uk, i needed to preserve the duration of my acapella track before re-mixing it.
I could dance with you till the cows came home..... on second thoughts i'd rather dance with the cows till you came home.
