  1. ok, ive got my iowa vs lsu game finished.. cut the commercials and half-time...

the file comes out to be about 12gigs in size

the editor im using can split the output movie from cutting into pieces.. my question is what size should i use?

    it gives options like this

    Size of each part(in bytes):
    CD ROM 650 MB
    CD ROM 700 MB
    CD ROM 800 MB
    CD ROM 870 MB

    Overlapping: 12 (its default that)

which option shoul i use.. im probably going to have to burn it onto 3 disc since its 12 gigs roughly, im just not sure how large to split it

well -- those numbers above are for cd roms .. but if you say you can fit it on disks , im guessing you are going to burn it on DVD disks ..

    so split it on 3 disks .... 4GB a disk ..

but are you trying to make a dvd ? then ti will fit on 1 disk (dvd) , but you have to encode it , author it , and burn it ...

if you use the numbers you asked about you will need to split it onto something like 16 cd-roms

  4. well it doesn't give me DVD options on splitting.. just those sizes

    i plan on burning it, i have DVD+R cd's at 4.7 GB

i have Ulead DVD Factory and have tried to use that to burn the disk but it won't let me because the file is to large.. didn't find anywhere on it to split it down in size

    maybe get a better editor

i still dont understand why you are splitting it at all - you have to encode it to mpeg2 for a dvd ..

well you didnt give to many details .....

plus a mpeg2 capture doesnt mean that it is ready for dvd .... for one thing 12gig mpeg capture sounds a little large (after editing)
