I have finally managed to get .q to installed even was able to convert one of my DVDs (but not as I wanted). I cancelled the process and since then the program gives a similar message as this whenever I try to convert anything except certain QT formats. I have already attempted to re-install the complete package

/Volumes/SNAFU/GOOD_BAD_UGLY_16X9_LB/VIDEO_TS: Unknown format
The DVDs have been ripped with MacTheRipper, the machine is a PB G4, system 10.3.8. I definitely have the all necessary codecs installed. Any clues?

The ffmpeg engine does not support VIDEO_TS for input. Either make one big all-inclusive VOB or use a different engine.
