I have a dvd that someone shrunk with dvdshrink. It's a wrestling dvd so being high action and more than 2 hours @720x480 makes it look blocky and like crap. I can re-encode the video to 352x480 but what about the menu? The menu just consist of a background image with a mpeg running in the center in a window. The extras menu is just texts, but I believe it has easter eggs too. How can I resize the menus and retain the easter eggs also. any ideas?

There is no reason to re-encode the menus. I doubt that will free up much space. Just encode the video itself and run ifoupdate and all of the menus and easter eggs will be preserved.

The menu's will most likely be in the lowest numbered vob file. So if the movie is VTS_01_1.vob, VTS_01_2, etc... then the menu's will be in VTS_01_0.vob. Re-encode just the movie vobs and copy everything else, including the menu vob, into a new directory named VIDEO_TS. After re-encoding the movie, copy the vobs over into this directory.

Now just run IFOUpdate and the DVD will function like the original.
