I'd say Firefox. I think opera was the most popular until firefox came along.

I never tried Opera, but what I can say is Firefox is excellent, expecially for its extensions !

I tried Opera and it crashed...alot. Firefox is pretty sweet.

Firefox - Opera isn't free (or you have to suffer advertising), Firefox is stable, customisable and safe (blocks spyware and adverts).
Firefox all the way! -

The top five are over the right-hand side.
Please try not to threadjack! Thanks!

I like Firefox much better than Opera. It's the ability to drag a link from a bookmark directly to a tab that does it for me. Another good browser is K-Meleon which doesn't do the above but comes with many features and is very fast. Also Netscape & Mozilla are good.
Among my favorite extensions (use over 20) are Adblock, NeedleSearch, External Application Buttons, ForecastFox, All-In-One Gestures, & Tab Browsing Extensions.

RogThere are many ways to measure success. You just have to find your own yardstick. -
I have to vote for firefox. It's free and a very safe browser to use. As for the best extensions it depends on what you need out of your browser.
