  1. I have a project that requires me to video and still poto the inside of a high-tech building.

I need to be able to "trace" the basic lines of this facility (inside) and "drop" custom show cases and displays (this is an art museum) into the "photo's) or line art so that the head honcho can "see" what new art exhibits will look like prior to the actual building and arranging of the 3D art(glass, ceramic, wood sculptures) prior to the actual installation of the exhibits.

Any ideas as to what might be the best(easiest) way to do this type of rendering?

I would guess that a cad program would be used for something like that. You could go lo-tech with something like cool 3-d but that would require a lot of work....

I use TurboCad but have never tried to do this. I have seen some Cad programs that will let you import photos or copies of drawings and you can trace them. The learning curve could be a bitch. Are the peices that you want to drop into the Virtual building in any sort of CAD format 3d or other?

I will have to play with this idea some, but I ain't no expert.

You may be able to use like a green screen (blue screen?) and insert the photos of the art into a walk thru video useing like Premeir. You could morph the angle of the art photos to give depth of feild Maybe

Actually depending on how good you are you can do some incredible stuff with turbocad in the 3D mode
IS IT SUPPOSED TO SMOKE LIKE THAT?

I think this is the program that I have.
It's been so long since I used it.

You can design the museum, ad cases (photos of the cases),
move everything around and do a walk-through.

You'll have to read the description to see if I missed the
point of your post or not!

If you need a cad program, and TurboCad is too
    expensive for you, try this............

    http://www.cadstd.com/index.html

Again, you'll have to read the website to see if it
    fits your needs.
