  1. I'm trying to convert a .rm file to a .avi file so I can delete certain scenes first before converting it to mpeg. .rm won't open in virtualdub so this is all I could come up with.

I've tried EO Video, RM Converter, and WinAVI. The rm is about 70 mb, and after they're converted to avi they're well over 100 mb. Why is this? Also in RM Converter the quality went wayyyy down and the audio went out of sync.
Any suggestions at all would be extremely helpful! Thanks!

When you use EO Video, select AVI then your favorite codec installed on your system.

You could try frameserving via AVISynth with directshowsource() to your mpg encoder, using the trim() function to do the editing.
