  1. Hi all, I'm trying to get a DVD out today and I have a newbie question.

I have made an MPEG2 file which is 4,208,238 KB and 2 x AC3 tracks which are 161,370KB each. One is with voiceover and one is music-only.

Is it possible to make a DVD in which I select either of these AC3 tracks from the menu, but without having 2 identical accompanying MPEG2 files? I assumed this would be possible but now I'm not sure and it seems I may have to make a bilingual track which I guess would compromise quality.

I have TMPGenc DVD Author and Sony DVD Architect.

By the way I also have a very short, silent MPEG2 copyright notice that I would like as a first play.

    Thanks!

I don't think Tmpgenc DVD Author can handle two audio tracks when authoring from scratch.

Download the 30 day trial of DVD Lab Pro. It will handle multiple audio tracks and first play quite easily.

  3. Thanks for that. I'll check it out but I seem to be making a bit of headway with DVD Architect, which looks like it can do it. It won't take one of my 2 AC3 files at the moment though.
