  1. Hi,
I need someone's help with this cause I think my mistake is kinda stupid.
I followed the tutorial in this site for making a DVD with switchable subs, and it went fine until the burning stage.
I have my Video_TS folder with all the necessary files there. My problem is with the final burning. I located the Video_TS.ifo file, and I added it to the list in CopyToDVD, as the tutorial said, but what do I do with all the .vob files and the subtitles folder with all the .png files of the subtitles in it?

  2. I don't know which guide you refer to, but on the final DVD there should be only a VIDEO_TS folder (and an empty AUDIO_TS folder) with vob, ifo and bup files. Nothing else.

  3. Yes, but this (https://www.videohelp.com/forum/userguides/220351.php) is a special guide for creating a DVD with switchable SUBTITLES. This would probably be the reason for the Subtitles folder..
    Anyone have a clue?

  4. I'm quite sure, that the subtitles folder is only temporary. The subtitles are (or at least should be) muxed into the vob files (the vob files within the VIDEO_TS folder!). You may check this, if you open one of the vob files with VLC and look for the subtitle stream(s).

  5. I don't know what VLC is, but I did open one of the vob files with a regular DVD software player and did'nt see any subtitles. Does this mean the process didn't work?

nope, you can't just play the vobs if you want the switchable subtitles. Select to play a dvd from the hd and open the video_ts folder or the video_ts .ifo file with for example WinDVD, PowerDVD, Media Player Classic. Or use vlc media player as borax suggest.

  7. The vlc media player can show 'switchable subtitles' within a vob (only) file...
I use this quite often to check subtitles without starting a 'full' soft DVD player.
