pioneer a08xl problem

Hey there. I have a problem with burning with my pioneer drive. I can burn and everything goes real smoot. It does not appear however to be finializing discs properly. I have used mult types of media, multiple programs to burn and nothing seems to be working. I burn an iso file and when i load the cd, the title screens will come up, but, when i hit install all fails. Cd's burnt with this recorder at the end just stick, they don't advance the final track so the next cd will come on (as in say a changer).

Hey there again, I just had a friend who had a dvd burnt from an iso image on his recorder and it works fine. I try it on my pioneer and when i hit "install" for the program, windows task manager says "not responding". If I wait a bit, before windows auto shuts the program down, it may eventualy seek up on the drive, but for the most part it shuts the program down. It appears as though the drive isn't spinning up to find the required data. Any ideas anyone or is this another best buy returned product?
