  1. I am attempting to capture using vitualdub. I have an AIW 9700 pro card. When vitualdub capture option is active I have video and audio. How do I change the channel/ input in vitualdub. I checked FAQ on VitualDub website andd found you cannot change the channel in Vitualdub. I attempted to change the channel in ATI MMC, then close MMC hoping hat the new channel will be displayed in Vitualdub, no luck. So how do set a new channel in Vitualdub? I plan to capture from a VCR Deck thru the ATI AIW card, will I have the same problem?
I did search the site for help with this issue, but no luck. Hope this is not a repeat post. Thanks for any help.

I am not sure that I follow you. But once you choose the connection and the channel in MMC that should be what is coming into your PC. I know that it may sound silly but are your sure that you are choosing the connection from the list that you actually have hooked up to your card?

  3. I did check the input for MMC. Presently it is set for TV. When I select a channel in MMC , then closed MMC, open Vitualdub the channel I selected in MMC is not the one that Vitual Dub is displaying. Of course I had to close MMC to open Vitualdub capture option. I did not attempt the VCR yet. Thanks fopr the help.

Check out Loardsmurfs guides. but I think that you need to go to ATI TV then Settings then the video tab then under connections choose your wireing input and OK. I think that the tuner should be on channel 3. I don't know much more than that . so I reccomend trying lordsmurfs site for the finer details

It is always the simple stuff that gets you. My favorite story is how I managed to mute my sound and then bury the checkbox off screen without knowing it. Talk about frustration!
