I have a Canopus ADVC-1394 that I've used with success for a long time. Capturing with Vegas Video 3.0 LE.
But now I tried capturing from a DV-camera for the first time, and it didn't work! My previous capturing was analog conversion via the card.
I know the firewire works, because another program manages to preview (not suitable for my capturing needs, so I need the VV).
Do you guys know what I'm doing wrong? I don't think I had the camera turned on when I turned on the computer. Restarting didn't help. I think I even turned the computer off briefly, and that didn't work either.
So, any way I can use this one?
