I've just re-installed Windows after I picked up a nasty Virus. For some strange reason, the thumbnails for all my MPEG files won't display, only the WMP icon is shown. Is there some Codec that is missing? Any ideas?

Have you installed a software DVD Player (e.g. PowerDVD) ? If not, windows assumes you will use Windows Media Player to play them, and has set up the file associations accordingly.
