  1. When I export a movie from Premiere in DV I can watch it but if I try to load it up in TMPG to Convert it to MPEG, TMPG says it is unsupported. Can someone give me some info on what to do because exporting to non DV seems to take forever.

Remember, if Direct Show is already set as the highest priority, move the video to higher root directory. Like C:, rather that C:\blah\blah\blah...

Never heard that one before, does it really help??

Also, Doesn't premiere export as DV type 1 and TmpGenc prefer DV type 2. If so, try the canopus DV type converter from the tools section.

Of course it does. Some of us were still getting "unsupported" monster even with Direct Show set properly. Someone posted this solution to the joy and wonderment of all.

  7. I had the same problem. Install the Panasonic DV Codec and that should resolve it for you....

  8. Nope. Actualy it hannging on the audo of all thing.

    Click the TMPGE menu Options.
    Select Enviromential Settings.
    Select tab Vfap Plugin .

Write down your current arangement before doing the next steps.

Make sure Direct Show is first. And or Priority set to same or one more than what ever the highest is. If no. Make it so.

    Should have no problems.

We covered that, Night Wing. Having a file too deeply nested causes the same problem.

  11. Yes, if the filename is past a certain amount of characters, it actually will be "unsupported" in TMPGEnc.

Try frameserving. I use the Debugmode frameserver with Premiere 6.0 to TMPGEnc and it works a treat.

    Export as RGB...
