Bought this unit at Walmart today, thay had 10 in stock, 9 were made in China, I bought the one made in Japan? You think there is a difference with the parts, I feel Japan at least would have better QC.

Oh btw Pioneer gear has to be hooked to a power strip with protector for spikes they seem to be more prone to not coming out of heavy lighting storm.Best Regards,

I do have it plugged into a strip along with everything else.
Only have this a few days but I am very very pleased.
The features are easy to figure out and to my untrained eye the PQ is excellent.
By the way, it was not a hard decision to grab the Japan made one. -
Yep, Japan the QC was the best, but I have some stuff from Japan that has changed my mine about QC. Who knows you might have got luckly with yours?
