  1. Have just finished a home movie via my digital camcorder onto the Liteon 5006, finalized the disk no problems and played the copy on both my DVD rewriter and DVD drive on my PC, have also made another copy using nero and my DVD rewriter.

Problem is none of these 2 dvds will play on my other stand alone dvd player, it loads and shows a thumbnail with the opening shot on but does not go any further, any suggestions, it is not the media I am using as I have used it before on that particular DVD player.

What did you use to author the DVD?

It might be that the links and menu usage / configuration is set up incorrectly meaning that you're remotes instructions to the DVD player are meaningless / not accepted.

Beyond that, can't think of anything...

  3. I have put this down to the stand alone DVD player being at fault, over the last 3 days I have played it on 3 other DVD players and they all worked without problems.

Did you include the (empty) AUDIO_TS folder? Some DVD players look for both folders (AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS) to recognise a DVD disk.

Also, check the troublesome player in the "DVD Players" link to ther left - if it's listed, it may have some info...
