    It seems that something has altered my file assisiations.

    In My Pictures, files with the ending ".JPEG" display properly but files with the name "JPG" don't display.

    What should i do?

    I want my JPG's to be normal.

    Start from the windows explorer, >extras> directory options> filetypes (or similar). Watch out for JPG. If it isn't there, create a new filetype JPG. If you find it, but no command which tool should open the .jpg file, select your favorite software, that should do it, for example Photoshop.
