  1. Hello,

I am using DVD-Lab Pro to make a DVD and I have made about 90% of it fine but the last few slideshows I made are messed up. They don't seem to work properly. When I click the next button, instead of skipping to the next frame they stay on the current frame and wait until the picture is supposed to change to the NEXT frame and then change to that one.

Also, this may be related to this problem or not, but the VIDEO_TS files that DVD-Lab is producing now seem to be useless to me. When I try to burn the files using DVD Shrink it tells me that they contain invalid data. I tried using imgtool and DVD Decrypter to burn the VIDEO_TS files and it works and burns a DVD that plays fine on my computer, however when i put the DVD into a DVD Player, none of the movies have sounds, and those slideshows I was telling you about freeze the DVD.

WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON? Is there a bug in DVD-Lab that causes the slideshows to mess up? Is there any way for me to fix this problem? It's driving me crazy because my DVD is done... but I can't burn it!

    Please help me out,

    Cheers,
    Jason

Which version of DVD Lab Pro. There was a version where the VOBs were being created with incorrect sizes (calculations based on 1000 instead of 1024), however the latest version fixes this. This could explain DVD Shrink not liking the output.

Usually, DVD Lab / Pro pops up a warning if you try to do something outside the spec. Mixing audio formats within a single VTS can stop audio playing in some assets. Many stand alone players set their audio for the VTS based on the first item. If the menu is AC3, and the movie Mpeg1-layer2, then the player will expect AC3 and ignore anything else.

As for the slideshows, there could quite possibly be a bug. Unfortunately, the best source of information/confirmation/fixes is currently down. Keep trying the mediachance forums until they resurface and ask there.

  3. I'm trying to get a new version of DVD Lab as we speak, I think I do have 1 version behind what the newest is.

As for the file formats, I know what you're talking about there, and I'm pretty sure all the audio files are of the correct format because DVD lab did tell me before that the wav's I was trying to use needed to be 48000 Hz for the slideshows so I converted them and for the movies I had to make things AC3.

Hopefully a new version of DVD-lab will solve my woes

PS What's the mediachance forusm (sorry I'm kinda a newbie to this stuff)

  5. The new version of DVD-Lab pro did nothing. Actually it did me one worse, I had a few short movies that are shown before the main menu comes up but the new version of DVD-Lab pro has removed those from my DVD... they're in the compilation but don't show up when it's played.

The movies still all have no sound and there are still slideshows with laggy chapter skips in powerdvd and which crash dvd players.

I am considering removing all slideshows and manually turning those slideshows into movies to put on the DVD. Is there anyone out there with a better suggestion before I do that? This is really frustrating.

    Cheers,
    Jason
