    What is the best and fastest s/w for cutting mpeg-1 files ? I have a couple of files that I would like to cut into 2 different vcd's. Seems like everything I have tried so far takes forever or is difficult to use.

    Please point me in the correct direction, since I am VERY NEW to this.

    You have most likely tried the most common ones, and some are a bit difficult to use, and most are slow because you're dealing with huge files. So, unless you have a 2GHz CPU and a 40 gig hard drive, it's going to take some time to copy and process those mpeg files. The most common editors (cutters) for mpeg-1 is Tmpeg, MyFlix, Cineplayer Editor, M-1? editor, Womble and some others. See the Tools on the left side of this web page.
