    ok, its a daft question but do the new datawrite 8x yellow's work at 4x? im just asking coz i cant get hold of the 4x's anymore and i liked em....plus ive also bought dvd-r's which dont right lower than their designed speed....daft i know

    Yep, they will..if your recorder will. All 8x will. Just be sure your firmware are up to date.
