  1. Hi,
(Sorry about that lone pic, wanted to post it on the test forum first!)

Anyway...I would like to create a DVD with selectable audio (with commentary; without commentary) and selectable subtitles (English on/off).

    This is what I did:

I´ve already created the .psd menus with DVDmenu Studio and exported them to DVDMaestro.

I´ve imported the media assets (1 .m2v movie, 2 .ac3 audio files, 1 .son subtitle file) to DVDMaestro

Now I need to put all this together(-->Connections), I know how to link the menus together, but HOW do I make commands/command sequences for selecting the subtitles/audio to go with the movie?

    Any help would be appreciated.

I don't think you need commands for that.

Go to the language/subtitle selection menu, highlight each one of the buttons, and somewhere (I'm not at my computer at the moment) you can associate that button with an audio/subtitle/angle: you have 4 boxes you can tick

    set audio
    set subtitle- on
    set angle

To disable subtitles you have to associate the corresponding button to set subtitle (ticked) and on (unticked).

That way everything should work fine.

  3. Thanks for the reply but I´m sure I need commands to solve this problem( like in this guide https://www.videohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=220758 , problem is it´s written for DVD-lab PRO and I´m using DVDMaestro)

    Please, anyone help!

  4. Debro,

I'm pretty sure this can be done without commands. Check out the stream pre-selection options on the buttons tab and the button pre-selection options on the advanced tab of the menu. You should be able to set them there. The remote doesn't need any commands to cycle through the subtitle and audio options when you press the appropriate keys.

If you want to use commands, you can do it using the "set system stream". You can turn streams on or off and set them to appropriate stream numbers. Make the appropriate commands and then call them when the user clicks on a menu button.

    Either way works. Good luck.

Debro, I just finished a project kinda like the one you're going at: 1vid, 2aud:eng,ita, 1sub:eng.

I created the language/subtitle selection menu (psd project, background bmp+1sublayer), imported in maestro, created the buttons, and associated each button to an audio/subtitle stream. No commands. Compiled, tested on the hard disk, burned, tested on a set-top player. Everything works fine.

    See doom9's maestro guide:

    http://www.doom9.org/index.html?/mpg/maestro.htm

They set audio and subtitles using the playback control submenu, which is the way I did it too.
