Hello, first of all, I understand lots of people will be reluctant to answer this due to the answer's potential. I want to make my CD-R MST3Ks watchable on my new DVD player.
If you read the thread
https://www.videohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1134268&highlight=mst3k#1134268
Then you will see, in the first post, links to a site called DAP Central, which archives MST3K. There used to be a show called MST3K, and it was broadcast with the authors permissions to be redistributed. (If you don't believe it, just follow the links and read about it.) I have all of Season 1 thru 5 (to where Joel left).
My situation:
--I have all of the episodes already burned to CD-Rs. This was done a long time ago.
--I have Windows XP SP2, a CD-R drive which can burn to CDs, and for christmas just got a DVD player. I have a 40 gig HD, ~1200 Athlon CPU, 512 DDR ram (if it matters), VDub 1.5.10, I don't know what else to list.
--I have Daemon Tools for creating DVD ?scripts?, but have never used it.
--Many of the MST3Ks I have are in a few different formats. Some are Divx 3, some Divx5, some MP42 (Mpeg4 v2). The audio tracks are varied also.
I know that many CDs are not readable on DVDs because of the type of laser used, newer players/burners use smaller beams with different colors for smaller information 'packets' burned into the discs. Older players can't burn that way, and newer devices may not be able to read older burns, and vice versa. My CD drive can burn audio files that play on the DVD, so I think the video should be able to be burned also, but I don't know for sure.
I am new to DVD burning, never done it before. I don't see many posts on this topic, due to copywrites, and what I have tried has not been successful. Audio files can be (seemingly randomly) prompted for being burned using 'HiMAT' format, or I can be asked to 'Make an audio CD', which prevents the CD from having more written to it, and is audio only.
I have not figured out how to get XP to prompt me for HiMAT yet. Help on this would be appreciated also.
I am an intermediate user, with limited experience in editing with VDub, but not much experience in decoding/encoding. This is prolly one of the only things I will ever do as far as burning.
Where should I post for help? Or is it even possible? Thanks in advance!
I do not have a way to hook my computer up to my TV, meaning no Digital to Analog device (my video card has a TV out). I say this because if I can't find help to get them burned, it will prolly be my only option.

Sorry for the double post, but this way people see that I found out the answer. The DVD player I have is a Sony DVP NS575P, which supports JPEG (the only one listed that does, heh), but not Divx. I found (finally) a guide on how to convert the movies.
Thanks tho! Great site!Never critisize a man until you have walked a mile in his shoes. Then go ahead - you will be a mile away and have his shoes.
