Macleod, I have not been offended by anything you've said. If I were, I would have said something, so everything is fine.

I just want prostitutes. Hopefully ones not in a drug related area. It's a bit far fetched, but I do have a few clean morals.

You think so? I won't trivialize anyone's experience by drawing comparisons.

No you dont. Most are homeless and haven't bathed for weeks and their skin is all yellow (probably from Hepatitis) who will do any act for $20 (the cost of their next crack rock) and then ask you if you can spare any food afterwards. (A friend of mine told me they actually do that.)

But if you really want to try it, do as Dr. Gee suggests and grab the newspaper. You're good to go if they've removed the police tape.

@ Capmaster - Yes, I do have morals. I made them up myself and people often wonder how I created my morals. I have them nontheless.

@ ShadowMistress - I can't do unclean. Impure....eeeh...Maybe. Unclean, definitely no. I live in Vegas. honestly, I could go to the Circle K and get the female store clerk to ride the one-eyed monster for an hour with just a 10-spot. I could also fork over $50 an hour at a brothel just outside the city limits and get some decent pipe cleaning done, with licensed and tested professionals to do the work. However, I'm married and my wife wants me and seems to want sex more than I ask for it . That being said, I have no complaints and only talk about paying street whores out of sheer jest. That, and the fact that if it wasn't in jest, my wife would become a necrophiliac (meaning she'd kill me).

Everyplace has a Park regardless of what name preceeds it.
There's really not much difference from city to city is there?

My only experience with a bully was when I was in the first grade. He was always teasing me. And you know what? Even though I ignored him, he continued to tease me. So, that website mentioned earlier saying that if you "just don't get upset" the bully will leave you alone doesn't work in all cases. One day, after school, the bully followed me home, taunting me all the way. And, right in front of my folks' house, he jumped me, pinning me to the sidewalk. Then, he started slapping me. My reaction? Panic. I just closed my eyes and started flailing my fists in his direction. To my amazement, one of my fists "connected." I didn't know this at the moment since he got up crying and ran away ... but I'd knocked out two of his teeth and left him bleeding from the mouth. But, as he ran away, he yelled back at me, saying he was going to bring over his big brother to "take care of me." And, that's just what he did. But, at the moment the big brother was going to do his dirty work, MY big brother came out of the house and beat the living feces out of him. Afterward, the bully avoided me and never bothered me again.

Advice? Hmm. Tough one. Each situation is unique. But, I do know one thing I'd like to see ... in this country and elsewhere. I'd like to see every school adopt a policy (and announce it to the student body at the beginning of every school year) that bullying or teasing first offenders will be sent home from school with a note ... requiring one or both parents to come to school with the offender to attend a session with the school's guidance counselor. And, until that session takes place, the offender is expelled. Second offense? Expulsion ... until the child's parents bring in a document from a licensed psychiatrist or clinical psychologist who will "certify" that he/she is no longer a threat to others.

As to specific advice to the kid being teased, I'd recommend that (with his parents' permission) he enroll himself in some sort of self-defense or martial arts course if one is available. I assume there are a few of those (grin) in Japan. One note on that.

When my kid was in kindergarten, he was a monster (grin). His teacher, at mid term, said she was considering holding him back until he had more self-discipline. At the time, I was thinking of enrolling in a local martial arts school myself and decided to make it a father/son project, thinking that martial arts training would teach him self-discipline. I was right. At the end of the school year, his teacher said he was a changed boy ... and suggested (since she knew about it) that his martial arts training was the key.

As a "side benefit" to this, my son continued in his training even though I had to stop (I stress-fractured an elbow, though not related to my own martial arts training). By the time he was 15, he had a 2nd Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do. And, according to my kid anyway, people at his school knew he was in training and the resident bullies gave him a wide berth (grin). Wise, too. My son has demonstrated his abilities in competition ... and all I can say is, "God help the poor SOB who tangles with him." Fortunately, self-discipline (or perhaps luck) has kept him out of any "real life" violent encounters ... and I hope for his sake (and definitely for the other person's sake) that it stays that way.

Cabrini Green in Chicago probably falls into the same category. The cops won't even venture there unless there's a whole vanload of them

When I was really little, after the race wars, - north side of the park was comprised of "white" and south side of "black" with this busy street running down the middle which I had to walk on when coming home from school back in Grade 3. Anyway, every ******* day, without fail, they'd be "rumbling" right there in the middle of the street, blocking traffic, 2 by 4's flying everywhere - I *think* I remember seeing some cops.

Now the only time you ever see a cop is if he's speeding past in the car and there's another 2 cars right behind him.

Hmmmm, wonder if I'd benefit any from taking up martial arts...

I haven't heard about CG in over 20 plus years (I moved from the region at least that long ago) I remember a woman mayor(Jane Byrne?) moved into the place to show that it wasn't all that bad. I had thought that it had long ago been bulldozed down. I am from Gary IN. born and raised. I've seen the ugly side of a lot of places. People make their own beds and pour their own poisons. I won't cry a tear for any of them under the age of ten. Hate to be an ******* about it but that's the way it is.

I agree with you Zapper unless one is dirt poor (immigrants). If you pour no poisons you can usually make it out. The American (well Canadian) dream is alive.

Hell I tend to think that the immigrants do better than some of our own home breds. At least they have taken the steps to try to get to a better place. I know that there is a lot of suffering and I don't mean to be callus, but survival is about fighting and trying hard. My life has been a cakewalk compared to some. But some of the greatest people have come from much worse than I have ever even seen. This kind of goes back to the bully problem in that if the victom does not make an effort to change things he will always be a victom. I ain't here to piss anyone off, though I know that I can irritate people, but life can be tough, so suck it up and get over it!
