I've got an Xvid avi file that I've downloaded.
The film is in Chinese.
It comes with a srt file.
This seems to contain the English subtitles.
How do I play the avi file and get the subtitles to show?
Thanks.

Well with the right setup the subs will simply autoload if named correctly. By right setup I mean a player that natively supports subtitles like Media Player Classic, mplayer, VLC, etc. or any dshow based player with VSFilter/dVOBSub installed.

Just name them the same "Name.srt" "Name.Xvid"
load the Xvid in your player from the same file that houses the Sub's.
