Roadstar DVD2200K - anyone know a region hack?

Hi there,

Roadstar DVD2200K

Does anyone know how to make this player region free?

Although I have read several reports on the internet of people having bought this model of player to discover that it was region free straight out of the box, unfortunately this is not the case with my (region 2) player.

So far, after thorough searching, I have not been able to find a region free hack. However, I have tried some hacks I have found for other Roadstar models of DVD player, which involve entering a numeric code on the remote while the tray is open. When I do this, X's appear on screen as if such a code probably does exist for my player, but none of the codes I have tried so far has worked.

I believe this player is also available under different brands, e.g. Alba DVD2200K.

Hello again,

I finally found a hack advertised for a different Roadstar model, that worked with my DVD2200K. I've added it to the hacks section for anyone who's interested.
