  1. Okay. I followed the tutorial on how to convert an AVI to MPEG2 for DVD using TEMPGEnc 2.1. When I try to drag the MPEG file into Ulead DVD Movie Factory, I get an error message "...is not a DVD MPEG. Please select a DVD compliant MPEG file." Any ideas? I have triple-checked all the settings in the tutorial. The only one I didn't adjust was settings under the rate control mode. The default settings there are 50 for quality and 3000 for maximum bitrate. Is there something I need to do here to make the file compliant? Thanks.

Have you downloaded Sefy's template pack for TMPGEnc? Try the DVD template (the only marked as DVD, the rest are svcd, vcd, etc.).

  3. Okay, where do I find it? I looked under tools. The only templates under Sefy's name have nothing to do with DVD. Is it somewhere else, on his own site perhaps?

  6. You could also try de-muxing and re-muxing your video stream in bbMPEG using the DVD settings. Its likely that your problem is not with the encoding itself, but some aspect of the multiplexing.

Sefy, I've downloaded a pack of templates for TMPGEnc that you've created or some that you've downloaded from somebody through I guess e-mail. Hey Sefy, I'm still waiting on that compliant VCD burning software list for my "Panasonic DVD-RV30".

  9. I had the same problem.. discovered that you have to use the 'Batch Convert' on the edit menu....theres no reference to having to do this in the help... I managed to get this far, but now I can't join the files in 'Make Movie'
