I made a VCD from a movie I downloaded in .asf format and converted it to mpg using TMPGnc. I used CDRwin and made another using VCDeasy_v1.0.4 and none of them worked on my stand alone DVD. I have a Panasonic RV65. I also tried it on a Zenith DVD with no success. Is there something I need to add to the VCD proir to burning it so it can play on my DVD. I am really new to authoring my own VCD so please help. Forgot to mention that both discs I burned do work on my computer using Windows Media Player.

Your player probably doesn't support playing CDR. According to the players list here ( http://www.vcdhelp.com/dvdplayers.php ) the RV60 doesn't so perhaps your RV65 doesn't either. Try a CDRW.

Thanks I will try a CDRW if anyone else knows what else I can do please post. Any and all replies will be greatly appreciated.

HI,
Most of the dvd players can playback vcd.
Try Nero 5.5 burning software can do audio, iso, vcd and Svcd! Yes Nero will install the neede files on your cD-r.
Must work 99,9% ( Unless your dvd doesn´t support vcd but I assume you checked that out???????????)
