  1. Guys,

Once I used DVD Decrypter to copy the files to my HD which software is better to use to rip the files to the DVD-R within Shrink, Nero or Decrypter?

    Moving to DVD-to-DVDR Forum ....

You don't "rip" them to DVD-R....you just burn. I prefer Nero myself, but mileage will vary

    Take your pick

    Many will tell you decrypter.

I use Nero and it works fine.

The term "rip" is used for extracting copy-protected material from optical disc to files. It's used for CDs and DVDs. Just so you know for future posts

Both have always worked fine for me.
    If in doubt, Google it.

I have a Pioneer 106D Burner and now have no problems at all using the following method.

    1. Use Shrink to re-author and backup to a single ISO file.
    2. Then burn with DVD Decriptor.
    (both applications are free)

Your drive should be formatted NTFS to enable you to create a single ISO file using DVD Shrink, then burn with DVD Decrypter. If your drive is formatted Fat32 then you will need to split the ISO images into 1 gig files and then burn with DVD Decrypter.

No coasters, no skips or freezes and a backup that is hard pick from the original DVD, more importantly, I use the cheapest DVD media I can find which at this time are 4X-R Princo which are considered rubbish by many members of this site.
