I created a SVCD from a DVD Rip, which plays on my computer, but not in my DVD play. I have changed media type in case that was it, but not change to the results. I had to delete the original, so I'm hoping I can fix the actual files on the cd. Thanks in advance.

here are the question i have to ask you does your DVD player support SVCD and CDRs.....those might be the problem...maybe your player doesnt support CDRs check the list on the left if your DVD player supports CDRs

ok...a little more information. I have several SVCDs and VCDs and they all work fine, so that is not the problem.

I am new to this but I believe DVD, SVCD, and VCD is only a kind of format. Pinoy2201 is asking if your player supports CD-R / CD-RW which are the disc itself. ie. If your player supports VCD but not CD-R / CD-RW, then you could only play the geniune VCD (manufacturer product) and not the home made VCD.
You could check your player's manual or (to the left) you could go to:
http://www.vcdhelp.com/dvdplayers.php?DVDname=&svcd=1&Submit2=Search&Search=Search&viewall=0&order=0
to see your players compatibility. Jordan
