  1. I've trying to make a video of an hour, or less, but each time i get the progress run till about 50% or so, there's the occurence of 'possible livelock' ~ i still don't understand why, i've never succeeded to get the file completed... i used DivX 5 for the compression, & LAME MP3 for audio. I did resize it to a 640x480. Is it the fact that i've did any mistakes in the compression of DivX settings? Help me out... kindly thanks ~

    i've read about that, but it don't seem to help me...
    can anyone discuss it again?
    i've really tried so hard... but i couldn't get it...
    please help... it's a major frustration...
    thank you... i've even tried another resize to 352x288... but still it got a real livelock & the fps stopped at 0.0 ~ hours gone by still the encoding wouldn't resume... i really am eager to get this over... thanks ~

    From my quick skim over that article I learnt the following:
    • It's just a warning, and typically finishes the encode eventually
    • It's generally caused by doing a couple of things on your PC at once (multitasking) - without seeing your computer specs (HINT: fill in your profile ), it's sorta hard to see if your machine would be labouring
    • Previous versions of virtualdub don't seem to have this issue

    Have you given all of these points due consideration ?
