I am looking fora mpeg 1/2 capture card that cand do atleast the following:
-realtime mpeg1/2 encoding
-resolution of at least 480x480
-Composite input
-support for NTSC
-PCI
I would also like to have a composite video out but if I can get a card for cheaper with out it, I would want that instead, can anyone make some reccomendations?

grativity,
I'll be brief, but you do the research by reading to your left
uner OTHER, and read "Capture Cards", K?
but, for you, you could look into these two for the money -
under $80 bucks:
Real-time MPEG1 and/or MPEG2 capture cards:
----------------------------------------------------
A - ATI-TV Wonder ($79) doesn't do 480x480, and is only MPEG1 software
B - ATI Rage Fury ($79) does do 480x480 and is MPEG1/2 software
There should be a hack available for (A) but I haven't seen any around
on this site. I have a hack to it that I created myself, but it's not a .reg file.
I don't know how to create one - sorry
But it can do a few things that I haven't ben able to see on any websites
around.
The above is a headstart, since noone else has started it.
Good luck!
If you want to see samples from (A) above and from other capture
cards as well, head on over to my website (below)
