im getting frustrated here. i have been burning backups of my dvd's for some time now. all the sudden, every dvd i burn seems to skip and freeze. even when using nero, dvdshrink, roxio etc..... basically ive tried several different burning software programs, and no matter what i do, they skip.

the funny thing is, they play fine in my computer, but when i play them in any stand alone, they skip. ive also tried memorex, sony and ritech dvd's, all do the same.

im burning with an optowrite dd0405 burner which i have upgraded to the latest firmware.

what do you think ? could my burner be going bad ??
