    If it is a commercial dvd, it has to be decrypted.

    Use dvddecrypter.

    Then use dvdshrink to shrink.

    Then you burn with either dvddecrypter or Nero

    If it is an unencrypted DVD, DVDDecrypter ISO Read / ISO Write is probably the quickest and easiest way IMO. In Nero, you should just be able to select Copy entire disc also.
    If in doubt, Google it.

    If it's a commercially pressed DVD, then yes, it's more than likely CSS and possibly RCE protected, and you'll need DVDDecrypter or smartripper (amongst others) to rip it to your hard drive and remove the protection while it does that.

    As I metioned, DVDDecrypter ISO Read / ISO Write if it's a DVD5; if it's a DVD-9 then you're looking at ISO Read / ISO Write if your want to do DL, or using a transcoder such as DVDShrink or DVD2One if DVD5 is the target.

    All of this is covered in the guides and FAQ sections too, BTW
    If in doubt, Google it.

    What do you have that you want to make a copy of ? A commercial title, or an already-burnt DVDR ?
    If in doubt, Google it.

    Explore your DVD-drive with Windows Explorer. Right-click on VIDEO_TS folder and go to properties. If it's less than 4.38GB, it's a DVD5. If it's greater than that, it's a DVD9.

    DVD5 -> DVD5 OR DVD9 -> DVD9
    DVD5 -> DVD5 OR DVD9 -> DVD9
    If in doubt, Google it.

    You'll need at least the size of all the files on the DVD as free space, and you're better off having way more than that to prevent Windows errors.

    Ripping time depends on several things - the speed of your rip drive, the speed of your CPU and HD, and the encryption used. Unencrypted DVDs generally rip much faster

    Usually a commercial DVD rip takes anywhere from 20 minutes to 2 hours depending on those factors I mentioned

    That's fine. You can buy DVDR + DL which are blank DVD9s. Or you can shrink this down to fit on a 4.7GB DVDR. Did you actually read the links I gave you up above ?

    All the information is there, and all around this site, my friend
    If in doubt, Google it.

    I don't think so.

    All those questions have been answered in great monotonous detail in the forums already.
