I know the procedure for removing audio hiss from vhs tapes but is it the same for removing a buzzing sound? I've got a wrestling vcd that was capped from a vhs tape but it has a buzzing sound. I also have another vcd where the hiss is barely noticable and no buzzing at all but when the guy who capped it cut for the commercials the last half is out of sync. I wonder why people don't use svcd for wrestling anyway cause vcd looks like crap. anyway is the procedure for removing the buzz the same as hiss. I use cool edit 96 to remove the hiss without the gargling noise that you usually get when removing hiss from audio files.

  2. Cool Edit is now called Adobe Audition. You can
use any sound editing software. First you have
to split the VCD into video and audio streams, then
fix the .wav audio with cool edit, then save them
back together into one file (called muxing)
