This is the first time I have been able to get to a computer to go online. Thankfully, I'm sitting here at my home with power back on. Anybody else lose power in this crappy storm, or did you get all snow instead. We got half a foot but lots of ice too. Some of our tree tops were actually touching the ground! I have pictures but haven't put them on the computer yet.

Ok after going to like 5 stores I got the dlink wireless g router for the computer. I got the xbox live 12month subscription with mic. And I was lucky enough to find the wireless g adapter for the xbox (Best Buy was sold out).
I get the router hooked up. I get the game adapter hooked up. I install the stuff and go through the net wizard. THEN NOTHING!!!
When I have the wireless router connected the dsl modem and then to the computer the net connection disappears. I was able to go through the setup procedure twice but both times it stopped working. NO NET!
Now the second time I enabled wep encryption 128bit but I left the zeros in the spot below it. Is that my problem?????
I'll get on soon hopefully..... Fortunately I'm off tomorrow. I didn't even watch the Lions game today...

I had trouble hooking up wired to my router...I can only imagine what you had to go through for a wireless conncection.

Yoda, you might need to type in the ip number of the router.
