  1. I am experiecing problem when I transfer my AVI, MPG file into DVD.
    Media: DVD-R, DVD+R Brand: LASER 4X
Encode: Nero Vision Express 3, Ulead DVD MoviFactory 3
Burning software: Nero 6 Ultra Edition.
    Burner: LiteON 812S

Lots of issues, let me try to explain.

    1. One avi file, encoded by Ulead DVD Movifactory, generated ISO file, burn to DVD-R. The disk will NOT play on one OMNI dvd-player, but it will play on another Magnavox.

    2. Another avi file, encoded by Nero Vision Express 3, generated NRG file, burn to DVD-R, plays on OMNI Dvd-player, but will pause after every 10 or 20 secs, press fast forward key to make it play further. But it will not play on the Magnavox dvdplayer.

    3. Same disk image from 2, burned to DVD+R, will play on a PRIMA dvd-player, was very fine. Same image from 2, burned to DVD-RW, will play on this PRIMA as well. But neither DVD-R disks would play on the PRIMA. I think this PRIMA plays DVD+R only. And neither OMNI or Magnavox will play DVD-RW as well.

    4. Copy a DVD-Video to DVD-R, both OMNI and Magnavox will play that disk perfectly, didn't try it on PRIMA.

I hope I didn't confuse you guys. I really feel so frustrated, didn't know which step went wrong. Maybe it's because of the disk? Or the players, three of the players are not very popular brands. Or could that possiblly because of the encoding programs? Or could that be the image file decreased the compatablity?

Could anyone offer some help please. Thanks a lot.

Try using Ulead DVD MovieFactory 3 but in the end have it write out your output to a VIDEO_TS folder

Then create an ISO IMAGE file using the classic version of ImgTools

Then burn that ISO IMAGE file with DVD Decrypter

If you use a quality DVD-R disc then that should give you better playback and compatability

Try to use MADE IN JAPAN DVD-R media

I think it's probly because of the disk, the disks i thought might be working smoothly now play jerky as well. Aftern about 5 min, it will stop play.
