  3. Thank you for the fast reply, but there are two problems with that: 1. when i follow the link there is no mpeg2 to dvd and the mpg to dvd does not work
    2. when i do that with more than one mpeg i have to build a dvd structure again and that was what i wanted t do with the my dvd programm in the first place ...

I'm assuming you have a file named something like "MyVCRTransfer.mpg"

The absolute easiest way - Download the free VSO Software DivxToDVD application and run your mpeg file through it. The app will accept the mpeg file and leave you with the .VOB, .IFO, and .BUP files you'll need. I know this involves encoding again, but it ensures your files will be DVD compliant. It's unlikely you'll notice any difference, considering your source.

  6. Personally I would recommend using GUI for DVD Author for converting your mpeg 2s to dvd structure (vob, ifo). Its a great freeware program that lets you keep the menus as simple or complex as you want.

You need to use an authoring program on your MPEG-2 file(s). Most decent authorers (GUI for dvdauthor, dvdauthorgui, TMPGEnc DVD Author, DVD-lab) will be able to handle multiple files.
    If in doubt, Google it.
