I recently got a Pioneer DV-343 and noticed that when there is a slow camera panning shot that the background sometimes doesn't quite catch up. It's not very noticable but SOME SVCD's do have this affect. However, I downloaded an SVCD movie the other day and there was no trace of that effect on it at all.
This makes me wonder if it's the way the files were encoded in the first place.
I burn mpg or bin/cue files with the latest versions of Nero and Fireburner.
Thanks,
Jeff
