Hi everyone. A while ago, I converted my DVD compliant mpeg-2 video to DVD in a very simple manner. I simply renamed the file extension from .mpg to .vob and used IfoEdit to create the ifo files I needed. I was then able to use the "re-author" option in DVD Shrink to open this and save the resultant files to my hard drive with .ifo, .bup and .vob files under .99 gig - ready to burn as DVD - and it worked perfectly. So simple, no extra conversion necessary.
The problem I am having is that this no longer seems to work. I have tried using different versions of IfoEdit, but all I get is a mesage that says "Could not find any VOB units in the VOB file/s". I have checked my original mpeg-2 file and it was definately rendered as mpeg-2 DVD compliant video, using Sony Vegas. So why will IfoEdit not accept this when renamed to .vob from .mpg? Can anyone help, thanks.
