  1. Help,
I am attempting to burn a bunch of beatles mpeg video files using nero 5.5. I followed the "How to make a VCD with Nero 5.5" guide on the vcd website, but must be doing something wrong. About half of the files I dragged had to be converted by Nero, but that seemed to go smoothly. When I do the final step (burning), Nero simply stops. I printed out the message file, but hell if I know what it means. Any advise would be great.

If you want to make life easier for yourself , in the long term, get yourself a downloaded version of Virtual Dub, Tmpenc and VCD Easy. These 3 tools will be a godsend and you will learn tons of stuff. VCD easy gives you a choice of making a VCD or SVCD. You can convert your Mpeg files using Tmpgenc. I made a costly mistake and bought the MPEG encoder from Nero and it is crap! and my VCD's and SVCD's wont fast frwd or Rwnd on a philips DVD player. Virtual Dub is great for capturing files and TV Pics. VCD easy is simply brilliant at making VCD's , it inserts chapters and entry points into your files and it will also perform a "dummy" run and warns you what the problems are and so must outclass Nero in this field, because they actually work on my DVD.
