I have the Media Player Classic (the one with tons more options than the pre-installed Windows Media Player 6.4). Whenever I stream a file online, that address gets saved onto the address bar in the player (File, Open File, that address bar). How do I clear that address bar's contents? I already deleted the Temporary Internet Files and History using IE's Internet Options tool.
In the Media Player Classic options, I did uncheck "keep history of recently opened files".

They are held in the "\Program Files\Media Player Classic\mplayer.ini" file under "[Recent File List]" - you can edit this file and delete the list.

My Media Player Classic only came with an EXE file.
So I just played it on my Desktop.

In that case have a look in the Windows registry under ..
"HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Gabest/Media Player Classic/Recent File List"
it puts all the stuff here if it can't find an INI file. -
Uh...what do I type in the Run box again to open the registry? I forgot.

"regedit"
(and you could also then use the search tool to look for "media player classic"). -
Hello,
Another good method is to use the newest version of adaware and remove the MRU's in the neglible objects tab (most recently used list). Works like a charm and clears lists from other windows settings too
