I have the Media Player Classic (the one with tons more options than the pre-installed Windows Media Player 6.4). Whenever I stream a file online, that address gets saved onto the address bar in the player (File, Open File, that address bar). How do I clear that address bar's contents? I already deleted the Temporary Internet Files and History using IE's Internet Options tool.

In the Media Player Classic options, I did uncheck "keep history of recently opened files".

They are held in the "\Program Files\Media Player Classic\mplayer.ini" file under "[Recent File List]" - you can edit this file and delete the list.

My Media Player Classic only came with an EXE file. So I just played it on my Desktop.

In that case have a look in the Windows registry under ..

    "HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Gabest/Media Player Classic/Recent File List"

it puts all the stuff here if it can't find an INI file.

    "regedit"

(and you could also then use the search tool to look for "media player classic").

    Hello,

Another good method is to use the newest version of adaware and remove the MRU's in the neglible objects tab (most recently used list ). Works like a charm and clears lists from other windows settings too
