Pinnacle Studio PCTV Pro - Software Problem??

I have been trying other software as I would like to capture as Mpeg 1 or 2.
All the other software apart from the stuff that came with the card will not see the TV tuner on my card?

Every Program works with the S-video Input?

Programs I have tried :

Power VCR - Does not see my card at all?

CinePlayer DVR 2.51

Honestech Mpeg Recorder - Worked with one channel today, briefly after using the TV program that comes with the card.

Can anyone tell me why or tell how I can get at least CinePlayer (the best software so far) to work with my tuner?

Is there any other software which will capture as mpeg 1/2??

The Pinnacle software with the PCTV Pro can capture mpeg1 VCD directly. The result isn't so bad.

Sorry no, it captures as AVI then converts to Mpeg with the program.

Also the AVI it captures as is very jumpy as it starts a new frame everytime there is a change of scene.

The Mpeg convertion is OK but I would like a timmer to tell me how long left. I prefer to use TMPGEnc.

Also to capture at the best quality AVI I would need alot of free Hard disc.

Its so much easyer to capture as Mpeg then just burn
